B2B website health check checklist

You do not need a consultant to know if your B2B website is healthy. You need an hour and a checklist. Run through these 25 points, tick what passes, and you will know exactly which three things to fix first.

Technical basics

  1. Site loads in under 3 seconds on mobile.
  2. No broken links on the homepage or top ten pages.
  3. HTTPS is active everywhere.
  4. Every page has exactly one H1.
  5. Images have descriptive alt text.

SEO essentials

  1. Every article and page has a unique meta title.
  2. Every meta description is 120–155 characters.
  3. URLs are short, readable, keyword-bearing slugs.
  4. An XML sitemap exists and is submitted.
  5. Old URLs redirect properly (no 404s from past migrations).

Content quality

  1. Homepage says what you sell within five seconds.
  2. No thin pages (under 300 words unless intentionally short).
  3. Each product or service has a dedicated page.
  4. Content is updated within the last 12 months on key pages.
  5. Internal links connect related pages.

Trust and proof

  1. Contact details are visible and consistent everywhere.
  2. Client logos, case numbers or certifications appear.
  3. Privacy policy and terms exist.
  4. Company story or about page tells who you are.
  5. No outdated news or events listed as current.

Conversion readiness

  1. An inquiry form is reachable from every page in two clicks.
  2. The form asks for four fields or fewer.
  3. Submitting the form actually works — you tested it.
  4. Someone replies to inquiries within one business day.
  5. You can name your top two pages for generating inquiries.

Scored all 25? Ten or more unchecked means you know the priority list already. Start with the ones that block inquiries: 21, 22, 23, 24.
